Creating an easy-to-use portal to a world of academic information can be a challenging task. For the Falvey Memorial Library site I worked hard with librarians to create a site architecture and design that would make academic research easier for students and faculty. Here is what one online commenter said about the resulting site:
When judging library sites, I consider aesthetics to be somewhat secondary, because experience and usability are undoubtedly key. And yet, in this case, I'm not disappointed on any level. I found a book on the history of Polish literature in just a few clicks, without having to type anything in - how brilliant is that?! Two clicks and one author's name later, I know exactly where to go to pick up Kundera's "Unbearable Lightness of Being"!
My experience on this site is so comfortable and intuitive, I almost don't want to leave.
Content is beautifully formatted, it is simple and clean and appears to be really feature rich.
